	Female Instructor Charged, Relations w/ Student By: James Clark Most us remember a time when “Hot For Teacher” was just a Van Halen song, not an actual problem. It seems like there’s a nationwide epidemic of female teachers having sexual relations with underage boys. Now there’s a local example. News Channel 11 reported last night that a 33-year-old teacher’s aide has been accused of sexual relations with a 17-year-old in the small town of Kress. The TV station says a Hale County grand jury issued an indictment Wednesday. An arrest warrant has been (or soon will be) issued for Erica Morquecho Gonzales. School officials asked the Texas Rangers to investigate when they heard stories that Ms. Gonzales had inappropriate relationships with multiple students. Even though the age of consent in Texas is 17, it is still a felony for a teacher to have sexual relations with a student.
