Skateboarder Hit While Sending Text

(Undated) -- It took a painful lesson to teach a 12-year-old skateboarder to keep his eyes on the road.
The "San Gabriel Valley Tribune" is reporting that the West Covina, California resident was hit by a car while sending a text on his skateboard. The boy reportedly attempted to cross the street during a red light when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. He suffered injuries to his head and leg, but neither are believed to be life threatening. The driver was not cited or arrested in the incident.
